Air Fryer: Do I Really need another kitchen gadget?

The short answer is yes, I am pretty sure there is a magical unicorn chef inside this machine pumping out delicious food in the blink of an eye. If you've yet to purchase an air fryer, it is a game-changer GO BUY ONE NOW. Honestly, I haven't fired up the old oven in weeks and instead I use my air fryer 3-5 times a week.

There are lots of air fryers out there, ranging from $39-$400+ and I found it difficult to research when making my decision to purchase. I found myself spiraling "is this going to take up too much counter space?" "how big of a basket is 5qt?" "how does this weird contraption even work?" UGHHH. So after doing a lot of comparison I landed on the Amazon deal of day: ZenChef Pro XXL 5.8QT for $75 (no kickback here, just personally would recommend it) and OMG it is so easy to use. Definitely get at least a 5qt basket so you don't have to do multiple batches - I can easily fit 4 salmon filets, a dozen chicken wings, or 4 full size 2-ingredient bagels.

The Air Fryer does just that, it "fries" with air removing most of the fat and oil that your food would typically swim in traditionally. I never really fried anything so I was hesitant on purchasing this, however, I've put just about everything I'd normally put in the oven and it's cooked in 1/2 the time without all the fat. Brussel sprouts? Air fry it. Salmon? Air fry it. Bananas? Air fry those too! The possibilities are endless.
